Biography

Ranko Žeravica was a player with Radnicki Beograd and then started as a coach with that club, but moved around a lot in his coaching career. He later led Partizan, Barcelona, Pula, Red Stars, Zaragoza, Desio, Napoli, Daroka, Split, Caserta, the national team of Yugoslavia, and the Argentine national team.

With Yugoslavia Žeravica led them to gold at the 1980 Olympics, gold at the 1970 World Championships, followed by a bronze in 1982, and silver medals at the 1969 and 1971 European Championships. On the club level he led Partizan to the 1978 FIBA Korac Cup title. Žeravica was inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame.
