Biography

Sid Freudenstein attended U Cal Berkeley, graduating in 1968. At the NCAA Meet Freudenstein placed second in the 1967 floor exercise and third in the 1966 vault. In 1968 he won the NCAA title on floor and won the floor and vault at the Pac 8 Conference Championships. Freudenstein competed at the 1967 Universiade, where he won a silver medal in floor exercise. After ending his competitive career Freudenstein returned to school at the University of Colorado, earning a PhD in physics. He later became chairman of the physics department at Metropolitan State University in Denver.
