Biography

Born in Gosport, Hampshire in 1948, Carol Bartlett-Page moved to Jersey in the 1970s where she initially worked in the hotel sector before founding her own driving school. Outside of work Bartlett-Page joined the Jersey Pistol Club, where her natural talent was soon spotted. She quickly made it onto the national team where she represented Great Britain at international competitions. In 1978 she finished fifth in the individual air pistol at the World Championships and won bronze at the Commonwealth Shooting Federation Championships. At the 1979 World Championships she won bronze in the 10 metre air pistol team event.

In 1984 Bartlett-Page was included in the British team for the Los Angeles Olympics. Out of a field of 30 competitors she finished 12th in the 25 metres shooting pistol event. Ten years later she represented England at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, Canada. Along with Margaret Thomas, she won bronze in the pairs events for the 10 metres air pistol and the 25 metres sport pistol. In 1996 she made her second appearance at the Olympics when she competed in the 10 metres air pistol and 25 metres sporting pistol events at the Atlanta Games. Amongst her many achievements Bartlett-Page was a five-time British champion in the 25 metres air pistol and a 13-time champion in the 10 metres event.
