Biography

Susanne Kiermayer was a German trap shooter who won the silver medal in the double trap event at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. She also reached the trap finals and finished fifth at both Sydney in 2000 and Athens in 2004. At Beijing four years later, she placed eighth. Kiermayer also won two silvers and three bronzes at World Championships.

In 1999, Kiermayer won the World Cup Final in the double trap, and added the silver medal in the trap final. At European Championships she added six gold medals, and seven each of silver and bronze. At the German nationals she won 14 titles, eight second places and two thirds. By profession, Kiermayer was a self-employed animal physiotherapist.
