Biography

At the 1967 Pan-American Games, Pam Kruse won the 200m freestyle, placed second in the 400m, and picked up a second gold in the freestyle relay The following year she concentrated on the longer distances and, after placing third in both the 400m and 800m freestyle at the U.S. Final Trials, won a silver medal in the 800m and placed fourth in the 400m at the Mexico Olympics. Pam Kruse graduated from Marymount College in Florida and competed for the Fort Lauderdale Swimming Association. She won two AAU indoor titles and one outdoors.
