Biography

In 1967 and 1968, a U.S. foursome made three improvements on the world record for the 400m freestyle relay, and Ken Walsh and Zac Zorn were the only swimmers to be members of all three teams. Walsh was an outstanding relay swimmer, and in addition to his two Olympic golds, was on two winning relay teams at the 1967 Pan-American Games and set a new world record for the 100m on the opening leg of the freestyle relay In individual events, his only major victory came in 1967 when he won the NCAA 100y freestyle for Michigan State.
