Biography

Eric Wunderlich swam in college at the University of Michigan. He won an NCAA title in the 200 yard breaststroke in 1993, and won four individual Big 10 titles. A native of Georgia, Wunderlich was inducted into the Georgia Aquatics Hall of Fame.

Wunderlich swam the 200 breaststroke at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He competed on US international teams between 1991-96, winning two golds and five medals at the Pan Pacific Championships between 1991-95. Wunderlich won five World Championship medals, with three golds. At the long-course Worlds he won golds in the medley relay in 1991 and 1994, adding a silver in the 200 breaststroke in 1994. At the short-course World he helped the US win gold in 1993 in the medley relay, adding a bronze medal in the 200 breaststroke that year.

Wunderlich later went into the fitness business, owning and managing several CrossFit clubs in Ohio.
