Biography

Born in a neighbourhood in the city of Kingston, Jamaica in 1893, Eversleigh Freeman later moved to Canada where he competed in athletics at the YMCA in Toronto. Freeman specialised in racewalking and competed at two Olympic Games. He made his first appearance at the Olympics in 1920 at the Antwerpen Games where he participated in the 3,000 metres and 10 kilometres events. Four years later he returned to the Olympics for the 1924 Paris Games, competing in just the 10 km race.
