Biography

Silvia Chivás also won bronze in the 100 metres at the 1971 Pan American Games and finished fourth in 1975 and 1979. In the 200 metres at the Pan American Games she finished fourth (1971), fifth (1975), and seventh (1979). With the 4×100 metres Pan American Games relay team she won silver in 1971 (with Carmen Valdés, Fulgencia Romay, and Marlene Elejarde) and 1975 (with Fulgencia Romay, Marlene Elejarde, and Carmen Valdés) as well as bronze in 1979 (with Isabel Taylor and the non-Olympians Eloína C. Echevarría and Marta Zulueta).

Personal Best: 100 – 11.16 (1977).
