Silvio Leonard won gold in the 100 metres (1975 and 1979) and 200 metres (1979) at the Pan American Games. He was also a member of two silver medal winning Pan American Games 4×100 metres relay teams in 1979 (with Alejandro Casañas, Osvaldo Lara, and the non-Olympian Juan Saborit) and in 1983 (with Osvaldo Lara and the non-Olympians José Luis Isalgué and Leandro Peñalver).
