Biography

Dorothy Shirley had the following podium finishes at major championships: 2nd in the 1960 Olympics High Jump; 2nd in the 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games High Jump. She also finished fourth in the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games high jump, seventh in the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games high jump, and sixth in the 1970 British Commonwealth Games high jump. In the British (Empire and) Commonwealth Games she competed for England.

Personal Best: HJ – 1.74 (1969).
