Biography

Georgios Zacharopoulos was a Greek all-round track and field athlete who represented Ethnikos GS in Athina. Zacharopoulos competed in the javelin and the discus throws at the 1924 Paris Olympics, finishing 15th and 30th, respectively. He also competed in the pentathlon in Paris but only completed the first two events before withdrawing from the competition. Four years later he competed in the javelin throw at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics, finishing 20th with a best effort of 55.50 metres.
