Biography

Choi Yu-Chil ran the marathon at the 1948 and 1952 Olympic Games, just missing a medal in Helsinki when he finished fourth. Choi was gold medalist at the 1954 Asian Games in the 1,500 metres, also winning silver that year over 5,000 metres. He was third at the 1950 Boston Marathon. Choi was world ranked in both 1952 (#4) and 1954 (#8).

Personal Best: Mar – 2-25:15 (1955).
