Biography

In the 1920s Dutch track and field athlete Menso Menso represented V&L in Den Haag. A specialist in the 400 and 800 metres, Menso became the national champion in each distance, winning the 400 metres title in 1924 and the 800 metres title in 1923. These results earned him a place on the Olympic team for the Paris Games where he ran in both events. After his athletics career he became a keen motorsport enthusiast, competing in the Monte Carlo Rally in 1934.

Personal Bests: 400 – 52.2 (1924); 800 – 2:01.0 (1923).
