Biography

Besides her 1992 Olympic relay bronze, Yuliya Allagulova won silver at the 1991 World Championships as a member of the Soviet relay team. At those World Championships, she also finished seventh overall. Allagulova won gold in the team event at the 1992 European Championships and silver in the 500 metres at the 1989 European Championships, while finishing sixth overall in 1989 and fifth overall in 1991 at the European Championships. She also competed at the 1992 World Championships, where she finished 10th overall. Allagulova competed at the short-track World Championships in 1992, 1993, and 1995, but failed to make the podium in any event, her best finishes being sixth in the relay with the Russian team in 1995.
