Biography

Dumitru Focşeneanu competed in both the two- and four-man bobsleigh competition at the 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympics. At the World Championships, Focşeneanu won two medals in two-man, a silver medal in 1969 and a bronze in 1973. He won three medals at the European Championships, highlighted by a gold in four-man in 1971, after winning silver medals in both events in 1969. He later became one of Romania’s biggest grain producers.
