Biography

Axel Jang was a German bobsleigher whise first major international appearance came at the 1989 World Championships, finishing sixth in the two-man bob. The next year, still starting for East Germany, he won silver medals with both bobs. Together with Harald Czudaj he won the last East German nationals in the two-man event.

In 1991, Jang won the bronze medal at the World and European Championships in the four-man-bob with the same crew. At the Albertville Winter Games in 1992, the Germany II four-man bob placed sixth.
