Biography

Eugenio Castigliano competed for the Italian Davis Cup several times between 1968 and 1975. Although he never won a major title, he did lose in the finals in several minor Italian tournaments in Bari, Naples, Milano, and Roma. His best finish at a major event was making the fourth round of the 1968 Italian Championship, and his highest career world ranking was 145th in October 1973. In 2006 Castigliano was awarded the prestigious “Silver Racket” by the Italian Tennis Federation. Castigliano played out of the Tennis Club Napoli.
