At senior Worlds, she won bronze medals in individual foil in 1999 and team foil in 2001. She competed at the World Championships in 1997, 1999, 2001-02, and 2005-07. She also won a bronze in team foil at the 1999 Pan American Games and a silver in team foil at the 1999 World University Games.

Iris and Felicia Zimmermann grew up in Rochester, New York and trained at the Rochester Fencing Club. In 2009 they bought the club.
