Biography

Hubert Schössen was an Austrian bob pilot who participated at the 1994 Lillehammer and 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. He placed an unfortunate fourth with the four-men bob in 1994 and tied ninth in 1998. Partnering Thomas Schroll in the two-men event in 1994, he placed fifth. Schösser won two silver medals with the four-men bobs at World Championships in 1993 and 1995. He also medalled at European Championships with silvers in the four-men in 1992, 1995, and 1998. He added a bronze medal in 1993. In 1994, he also won the overall World Cup in the four-men event. In October 1998, Schösser tested positive for methandienone and was banned for two years. He then immediately retired.
