Figure Skating at the 2010 Winter Olympics

Dates 14 – 25 February 2010
Medal Events 4

This was the second Olympic Winter Games using the new scoring system that had been put into place after the pairs scoring controversy at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. The events were held at the Pacific Coliseum in downtown Vancouver. The biggest change was the fall from grace of Russian skaters. Soviet and Russian skaters had been the dominant force since 1964, winning 21 gold medals, but in Vancouver, they won only a silver and bronze medal.
