Alfred Neuland of Estonia was probably the top lifter at Antwerp. Neuland won the 1922 world championships, although it should be noted that they were held in Tallinn, Estonia, and most of the medalists were from the Baltics. Neuland, however, moved up in class in 1924 and won a silver medal at Paris in the middleweight class.
