Biography

Irene Pirie-Milton had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1934 British Empire Games 4×110 yards Freestyle Relay (with Phyllis Dewar and the non-Olympians Florence Humble and Margaret Hutton), 2nd in the 1930 British Empire Games 4×100 yards Freestyle Relay (with Betty Edwards, Marjorie Linton, and the non-Olympian Peggy Bailey), 2nd in the 1934 British Empire Games 100 yards Freestyle, 3rd in the 1934 British Empire Games 440 yards Freestyle. Pirie-Milton also finished fourth in the 1930 British Empire Games 400 yards freestyle. In the 1930 British Empire Games she competed under her maiden name Irene Pirie.
