Biography

Antonella Roncelli was an Italian backstroke specialist. She competed at the 1973 and 1975 World Championships and finished eighth in the 200 back at the 1974 European Championships. At the Montréal Olympics she was eliminated in the heats of her three events – the two backstrokes and the medley relay. Roncelli won Italian titles in the 100 and 200 backstrokes in 1974 and 1975.

Married with three daughters, beginning in the early 2000s Roncelli directed swimming courses for children up to three-years-old held at the Chignolo d’Isola pool.
