Biography

Brad Schumacher won two gold medals in the freestyle relays at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He then returned to the Olympics in 2000 to compete on the USA water polo team. Schumacher won gold medals in the 4x100 freestyle relay at the 1997 Pan Pacific Championship and golds in both relays at the 1995 Universiade. He also added a gold medal in the 4x100 free relay at the 1998 World Championships. Schumacher won a water polo gold medal at the 1999 Pan American Games. He also competed on the USA water polo team at the 1998 and 2001 World Championships.

Schumacher swam in college at the University of the Pacific, where he also played on the water polo team. He later earned an MBA from Pacific. Schumacher was a co-founder of Kap7, a commercial pool equipment and supply company. He also coached water polo in Southern California.
