Biography

Nicole Hetzer was German all-round swimmer who laced fifth over 400 IM at the 2000 Sydney Olympics but missed the 200 IM final. Four years later at Athens, she finished 11th over 200 metres backstroke and again reached the 400 IM final, placing sixth. At the 2000 World Short-Course Championships Hetzer won the silver medal in the 400 IM. Hetzer won two gold medals, six silvers, and two bronzes at European Championships. In total, she won 18 German national titles. She studied business administration.
