Norman Bröckl had the following podium finishes at the Flatwater World Championships: 1st 2005 K4 1000 m (with Lutz Altepost, Björn Bach, and Björn Goldschmidt), 1st 2007 K4 1000 m (with Lutz Altepost, Marco Herszel, and Björn Goldschmidt), 1st 2011 K4 1000 m (with Max Hoff and the non-Olympians Robert Gleinert and Paul Mittelstedt), 2nd 2005 K4 200 m (with Björn Bach, Björn Goldschmidt, and Jonas Ems), 2nd 2009 K1 4×200 m (with Jonas Ems, Ronald Rauhe, and the non-Olympian Torsten Lubisch).
