Valentin Demyanenko had the following podium finishes at the Flatwater World Championships: 1st 2005 C1 200 m, 1st 2009 C1 200 m, 1st 2011 C1 200 m, 1st 2013 C1 200 m, 2nd 2006 C1 200 m, 2nd 2011 C1 4×200 m (Serhiy Bezuhliy, Maksym Prokopenko and the non-Olympian Andrey Kraytor).
