Biography

Born in Tuscany, fencer Giorgi Pellini made his fencing début in 1947 when he won the Italian University Games. By profession, he was a pharmacist, and he competed in the first two Olympics after the World War II. He won three silver medals in team foil and team sabre events. In addition, Pellini won six medals at the World Championships between 1947 and 1951 in foil and sabre, including three gold medals. He also won a silver medal at the 1955 Mediterranean Games in the team foil event.
