Biography

John Huffman competed in fencing while a student at Yale, and was one of the proponents of the NCAA starting an NCAA fencing championship. He competed in sabre for the US at the 1928, 1932, and 1936 Olympics. Huffman was Amateur Fencers League of America (AFLA) sabre champion in 1931-33 and 1937-38, and won the 3-weapon AFLA title in 1931-32, 1935-38, and 1940. He later was President of the AFLA from 1940-43.
