Biography

Ralph McKittrick was well known in St. Louis as both a golf and a tennis player. In the 1904 Olympics he competed in both sports, and although he had little success individually, winning one match in both, he did win a silver medal in the team golf. McKittrick won several local titles in tennis, but was probably slightly better in golf. He was Missouri Amateur Champion in 1910 and won the St. Louis CC club championship three times. He played in the 1902 US Amateur, reaching the third round. After his 1899 graduation from Harvard, he made his living in the wholesale dry goods business.
