Biography

Oresto Capuzzo was a member of the strong Italian gymnastics team that won the gold medal at the 1932 Olympics. Although placing seventh in the individual competition, he was the fourth out of five Italian team members. Capuzzo’s best apparatus was the rings. In Los Angeles he placed fifth in that event, and in 1939 and 1940 won the Italian title on the rings. At the 1934 World Championships in Budapest Capuzzo came in fourth place with the team.
