Biography

Desmond Kingsford had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1938 British Empire Games Eights. In the British Empire Games he competed for England.

A Commander in the Irish Guards he was killed when a shell exploded as he slept in his trench. He was posthumously awarded the Military Cross.
