Biography

Austrian sports shooter Hubert Garschall participated in three editions of the Olympic Games from Mexico City 1968 to Montréal 1976. Garschall competed in the rapid-fire and free pistol events. His best Olympic result was 18th place in 1968 in the 50 metres free pistol.

Garschall won two bronze medals at European Championships: 1969 in the 50 metres free pistol, and 1975 in the 10 metres air pistol. Between 1965-78 he won more than 70 national titles. Garschall was a trained forester by profession and became an officer in the Federal Army.
