Biography

Rafael Fortún had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1951 Pan American Games 100 metres, 1st in the 1951 Pan American Games 200 metres, 2nd in the 1951 Pan American Games 4×100 metres Relay (with Raúl Mazorra, Angel García, and the non-Olympian Jesús Farrés). Fortún also finished fifth in the 1955 Pan American Games 100 metres.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.58 (1954); 200 – 21.1 (1951).
