Biography

Anton Husgafvel was a Finnish track and field athlete who represented HKV in Helsinki. Husgafvel specialised as a sprinter, running in the 100 metres and the 4 × 100 metres relay at the 1924 Paris Olympics. He was also scheduled to run in the 400 metres and the 4 × 400 metres relay in Paris but did not start in either race. While Husgafvel never won a gold medal at the Finnish athletics championships he did win multiple silver medals including the 100 metres (1923, 1926), the 200 metres (1923, 1925–26, 1928), and the 400 metres (1923).
