Biography

Alfredo Pagani was a versatile Italian track & field athlete. He was most successful as a hurdler and high jumper. In 1908 he won his only gold at Italian championships in the 110 m hurdles. In the same event, he then placed second in 1909, 1911 and 1912. In 1911, he set a new national record in the high jump with 1.75 m. In 1912 he took part in the Stockholm Olympic Games in five events, in addition to the high jump and the high hurdles, in the long jump, pentathlon and decathlon.
