Biography

Moise Crăciun, the winner of nine-time Romanian championship titles, was a member of the Romanian ski team at the 1952 Oslo Olympics, competing in the 4 × 10 kilometres relay and 18 kilometres event. He was the younger brother of cross-country skier and nordic combined compeitor Cornel Crăciun. Crăciun was later a ski coach in the 1960s and 1970s for Steagul Roşu Bra­şov, and was given the title master of sports. His son, also named Cornel Crăciun, competed in youth championships in the early 1970s.
