Biography

Kim Il-Sun was a South Korean professional tennis player who competed primarily in the doubles. Kim won her first ITF doubles title in June 1988 in Birmingham, England, with partner Lee Jeong-Myeong. The pair would frequently team together, playing in 11 consecutive finals together where they won 10 matches. Kim would go on to win 21 ITF doubles titles. Kim competed in the singles and doubles at the 1988 Seoul Olympics and the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, pairing with Lee each time in the doubles. At the Asian Games Kim won six medals, including four silvers.
