Archery at the 2004 Summer Olympics

Dates 12 – 21 August 2004
Medal Events 4

The 2004 Olympic archery events consisted of men’s and women’s individual and team events, the standard program since 1988. They were held at the Panathinaiko Stadium, the original stadium from the 1896 Olympic Games, which also hosted most of the events at the 1906 Olympic Games. The original stadium had actually been built in the 6th century BC, although it was rebuilt in marble in 329 BC, and was extensively remodeled for the 1896 Olympics. In 2004 the men’s and women’s marathon races also finished at the Panathinaiko Stadium. As in 2000 Korea won three of the four archery gold medals, including both women’s events, as it had done from 1988-2000.
