Biography

Nelson Pessoa Filho was a member of the silver medal winning jumping team at the 1959 Pan American Games (with Renildo Ferreira and the non-Olympians Francisco Rabelo and Antonio Carvalho) and of the gold medal winning jumping team at the 1967 Pan American Games (with Antônio Simões, José Fernandez, and Renildo Ferreira). At the 1995 Pan American Games Pessoa Filho again won gold with the jumping team (with Vitor Teixeira, André Johannpeter, and his son Rodrigo Pessoa).
