Biography

Hans-Peter Pohl had his best performances in the team competition of the Nordic Combined. Together with Thomas Müller and Hubert Schwarz he won the gold medal at the 1988 Calgary Olympics, and those three also won the 1985 and 1987 World Championships. In 1992 at Albertville he partnered Jens Deimel and Thomas Dufter and placed fifth with the team. Pohl was also German Champion four times. In 1994 he became a color commentator for Eurosport Television and the German sender ARD. Beside this job he has studied coaching at the Coaching Academy in Cologne.
