Félix Vigeveno came from a family of Jewish diamond workers and traders in Amsterdam. Together with his brother Gabriel Vigevevo he over the family’s diamond business after his father’s timely death. When they opened a second location in Antwerpen (Antwerp), Félix lived alternatively in both places. A few weeks prior to the German occupation in 1940 he escaped via Italy to the United States, where he lived in East Orange, New Jersey and took up his business again. Some years later Vigeveno became a naturalised US citizen.
Félix Vigeveno competed together with his brother Gabriel in the Intercalated Games in 1906 where he placed fourth in individual épée event. He missed the 1908 and 1912 Olympics but returned to the Games in 1920 competing individually with all three weapons and with the Dutch team with the foil. At the age of 43, he had his last appearance with the foil team in Paris in 1924.
In 1906, he married Wilhelmina Christina Maria van Baaren with whom he had two sons. Later, he married for a second time. With Louise Guillaume he went to the United States. Vigeveno eventually died on a holiday trip to Belgium.
