Biography

João Gonçalves Filho won a bronze medal as member of the 4×200 freestyle relay (with Ricardo Esperard, Aram Boghossian, and Tetsuo Okamoto) at the 1951 Pan American Games. With the water polo team Gonçalves Filho won gold at the 1963 Pan American Games, silver at the 1967 Pan American Games, and bronze at the 1959 Pan American Games.
