Biography

Claude Arabo fenced sabre and was a five-time French champion from 1960-65. His first major podium appearance was at the 1958 World Juniors. He also won four bronze medals with the sabre at the World Championships, in the 1962 individual and in the team event from 1965-67, in addition to his silver medal in individual sabre at the 1964 Olympics. After his sporting career ended, he worked as a physiotherapist on the Côte d’Azur.
