Biography

Zdeněk Vávra was educated as an engineer. He placed third three times in Czechoslovakian championships, with the sabre in 1924 and with the foil in 1925 and 1926. He competed with all three weapons at the Olympic Games, foil and épée in 1912, and épée and sabre in 1920. Vávra was then entered in three events of the 1924 Olympic Games but did not start.
