Roberto Cecon was an Italian ski jumper who débuted in the World Cup at a very young age in 1987 and won his first competition in 1990 at Predazzo. In 1990 he won a bronze medal at the World Ski Flying Championships in Harrachov in the Czech Republic, and repeated that finish two years later at Planica in Slovenia.
Between 1990-95 Cecon earned six World Cup victories and was overall runner-up in the 1994/95 season. In 2003 at Planica, on the day he retired, Cecon set the Italian record for ski flying with 207.5 metres.
