Ivanka Dolzheva

Ivanka Dolzheva was a Bulgarian gymnast who was active during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Dolzheva won several all-round championship titles and competed at three consecutive Olympics. Her first appearance at the Games came in Helsinki in 1952 where she placed seventh in the team all-round event. Her best individual performance came in the balance beam where she tied for 10th with the Soviet gymnast Galina Minaicheva. For the 1956 Melbourne Olympics Dolzheva competed in five individual events, with her best result coming in the uneven bars. Her third and final Olympics were in 1960 in Roma where she came eighth in the team event. After her competitive career Dolzheva worked as a gymnastics coach in Sofia.
