Biography

German gymnast Oliver Walther was on the reunified team that finished a surprising fourth at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Individually he came 13th and did not advance to an apparatus final. Four years later at Atlanta, the team placed seventh and Walther finished 32nd individually. Again, Walther could not qualify for an apparatus final. In 1993, he won his only national title, in the individual all-around. In 1991, he won the bronze medal with the team at the World Championships.
